Dr. Honglei Liu received her Ph.D. in the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University. During her doctoral studies, she spent a year as a joint Ph.D. student at the Systems Biology Lab at the University of California, San Francisco (from September 2013 to July 2014) and at the Department of Bioengineering at Stanford University (from August 2014 to September 2014), focusing on bioinformatics algorithms and big data analysis. Since 2016, she has been working at Capital Medical University. Now, she is an Associate Professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering at Capital Medical University.
Her research centers on artificial intelligence algorithms for biomedical big data, with expertise in AI models for temporal and textual data, large language models for medical text, and disease-assisted diagnosis and treatment models. She has successfully applied technologies such as deep learning and knowledge graphs in the auxiliary diagnosis of multiple diseases, including acute myocardial infarction, HIV, and pulmonary diseases.
She has led multiple projects, including: National Natural Science Foundation- Youth Science Fund Project (2018-2020), Beijing Excellent Young Talent Support Program - Youth individual Project (2018-2020), Beijing Natural Science Foundation (2024-2026), the R&D Program of Beijing Municipal Education Commission (2023-2025), the Project of Cultivation for young top-notch Talents of Beijing Municipal Institutions (2023-2025).
